THAT DAY
She loved someone,
Someone- with all her soul,
Someone- with all her soul,
But she couldn’t get herself to confess
So day and night,
Year by year,
She dreamt about her someone,
Dreaming of truly living her life with the latter
But how could she confess?
Her confidence was rock zero.
Her life became bland,
Sleepless nights ensured her no peace,
Each day was spent thinking,
“How do I face my lover?”
But one morning,
The new sun got an unusual new spark of confidence,
And her determined face told it all.
Her courage gripped her,
Both walked hand- in- hand
With a stride unexplored.
Swiftly to the mirror she strode,
And said to the person in it-
“I- I love you”
And the face in the mirror
Smiled knowingly at her
That was her D-Day, because,
From then, her star never dimmed.
